What a time to be alive!

Staying home is the new going out, attending meetings in a dress shirt, tie and your favorite lounge trousers is the new workwear aesthetic and live music is now more intimate than ever - courtesy the pandemic.

In the last few months, performing arts have played a huge role in spreading positivity and have given a sense of renewed hope. Musicians know it, fans know it.

Festivals and concerts have a new home. Musicians have taken to social media and streaming platforms to play live for their fans, turning our lounges into concert halls.

The month of November saw a collaboration like no other. Coke, Tapmad, Patari and Ideas joined hands to bring you the ultimate musical experience to the comfort of your homes.

Coke Fest celebrated as Pakistan’s biggest entertainment event of the year and Tapmad and Patari being the leading video and music streaming platforms of the country, the collaboration made perfect sense.

Coke found the perfect opportunity to blend performance with fashion and gave an experience that put everyone tuning in just a little more at ease with their situation.

The first ever digital Coke Fest was streamed online from 20th - 22nd November, 2020.

IDEAS joined in as the fashion partner, styling all the performing artists in their latest ready-to-wear winter collections from #TheGreatWinterSale. Another exciting event worth tuning in at www.gulahmedshop.com/sale.

The line-up included some of the country’s best musical talents: Alycia Dias, Natasha Baig, SomeWhatSuper, and the famous “O Shabana” E Sharp.

Lighting up the sky with “Taare” was none other than the uber talented Shamoon Ismail. The multi-instrumentalist with his signature blend of Punjabi and blues lit up the stage like no other.

Also joining in the act was Ali Noor, the epitome of Pakistani pop music. Bringing in a new and different sound this time around, Ali shared snippets from his latest solo musical experiment “Pagal”. An album with a lot of sonic departures from what Noori is known to do.

All these supremely talented individuals rocked the stage with their sheer musical talents and effortless glam.

Alycia Dias and Natasha Baig had us drooling over their chic, runway worthy looks. Alycia looked super cool in Ideas crinkled bright orange top styled with aladdin pants and big chunky jewelry while Natasha kept it hip and fun with an animal printed cardigan from the latest Ideas Salt Winter Collection. Both great going-out styles for staying in!

The men of the hour looked dapper in vogue winter wear by Ideas Man. Every look was designed with comfort, style and ease in mind. And dare we say, comfort rarely looks this good. Ideas Man straightforward pieces added that X-factor to the event.

With the fashion industry asking itself the hard questions, the clothes in this digital experience mostly reflected simple styling ideas for a turbulent time. Leather jackets, tonal sweaters and a pair of your favorite jeans and you are good to rock any event - case in point, a quarantine concert.
